It took me a long time to come to terms with the stigma people put on my son for dying of a drug overdose. I know that other people who have experienced what I have, they feel that stigma too. It's dangerous that people put so much stigma on other people because of what drug they take. It causes silence and secrecy and ignorance and fear. I know too well what the costs of all that is. That's why I'm really glad to see that stigma breaking down. Your support for this campaign is helping a lot. I'm so happy to see this article come out. In it I said to our lawmakers, close your eyes for five seconds and imagine the person you love most in those world not being alive. Your daughter or son never coming back to you, see what that feels like and tell me you wouldn’t do something. We're getting some feedback that the message is getting through to the politicians.
