The current speed limit on the Mineville Road between the Highway 107 exit and Candy Mountain road is 70km/hr, decreasing to 50km/hr for the last km.
There are passing lanes between Partridge Nest Dr./Deerwood Dr. to Dempster Crescent. 

This is a residential area with a lot of walkers and bikers, and young children playing. The Mineville Road is used as a thoroughfare to get from Highway 107 to the Lawrencetown Road.  A lot of the traffic is driving above the posted limit.  It is a very dangerous situation with multiple side street intersections, sharp curves, and hidden driveways along the entire road. 

Residents are concerned with the new pavement and walk/bike lane, drivers will go even faster.  Now is a perfect opportunity to make these changes as the signs will have to be moved and the lines repainted. 

The undersigned would like for the speed limit to be 50km for the entire stretch of road between the 107 Exit and Candy Mountain. We would like the passing lanes removed. The passing lanes are not necessary and very dangerous as there are many driveways entering that stretch of the road. We are hoping that a lower speed limit will deter speeding and perhaps decrease the traffic flow altogether.
