Hello Mulmur Residents,

By now you are probably familiar with the tiny caterpillars that are wrecking havoc on your properties.   Some of you have mentioned burns and hives on your skin.   These invasive species known as Gypsy Moth Caterpillars are taking over and Scientists are warning that “2021 is shaping up to be a bumper year for the invasive species”. One caterpillar can eat up to a square meter of foliage. 

Mulmur residents are asking the township to do something about the invasive species as many land owners have large acreages and using tape or burlap is not an option.  Other areas in Ontario are spraying to prevent the mass destruction of trees.   We are asking Mulmur to do the same. Please spray Mulmur Township for Gypsy Moth Caterpillars before it’s too late.
