Free data for students in South Africa to access online learning materials

Learners in South Africa are drastically disadvantaged by the Covid-19 pandemic. Fortunately there are Online learning materials that are available, however, the majority of the learners cannot access these due to the extremely high data costs. We (as the learners of South Africa) plead with Network providers and the Department of Education to make data free for students. Making data free (for the duration of the pandemic/until schools re-open) will allow Teachers to offer interactive online classes where the teachers and the learners can engage in real time. It will also allow teachers to be able to communicate easily with students that require any assistance or support on platforms such as Whatsapp. Learners will also be able to access educational Youtube channels such as: Mindset Learn, Khan Academy and The Organic Chemistry tutor. Learners will also be able to utilize Siyavula.com for learning materials. Please help us during these very stressful and uncertain times so we can take control of our own education.

We need your help.
