USA Today writes that "Over the past two years, [MSU's] gymnastics, basketball and football programs have all been found to have put women in harm’s way with little consequence. The same problems existed in the 1990s when I was a student at State. When the student government I was on tried to raise the alarm about campus safety issues, the reaction against us was swift and violent. (Indeed, they threatened to out me as gay to ensure my silence). I've amended my petition to ask MSU's accreditors to suspend MSU's accreditation until it demonstrates that it can actually ensure the safety of students on its campus--and until the university puts controls in place to ensure that the abuse won't continue when the perpetrator is a University Vice President. #EndTheAbuseMSU
