“Unfortunately, due to the ceaselessly growing concerns regarding coronavirus, we, as part of Australian student body, have collectively decided that we would like for our schools to be shut down at least temporarily for our safety and well-being” (anonymous student 1)

"Bill gates once said “The worst pandemic in modern history was the Spanish flu of 1918, which killed tens of millions of people. Today, with how interconnected the world is, it would spread faster.” The coronavirus *is* the new pandemic. We don’t want a repeat of the Spanish influenza. We want peace and health and If we want to stop corona’s effect we have to take action and we have to do it now. We can take this one step at a time with the people and places nearest to us. For the safety of the people around us, it is with the best intentions that I say that the best course of action would be temporarily halting school. We can still have an education online due to the modernised world we live in and if we do so, we can do it with our health guaranteed." (anonymous student 3)
