COVID-19 COUNCIL TAX RELIEF

My request to the PM Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak Chancellor of the Exchequer, that while the government is providing direct assistance to the large and SME companies and businesses across the country in various ways, that is Excellent.

Point 1: However, UK household also need assistance, this petition invites the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer and Treasury Chief, to provide 100% relief on Council Tax to all individuals who had or will have Covid-19. That no payment will be demanded from them whatsoever - Total Relief.

Point 2: Similarly, I also request UK Treasury Chief and Chancellor of the Exchequer to provide 50% relief for Council Tax for those who are being impact due to economic conditions which are outside their control - closure of business as per government instructions. 

Point 3: For certain household based on individual circumstance the Council Tax should be deferred to 2021 and a suitable repayment scheme should be offered without incurring interest and any administration fee or charges. 

To me this will be economic equality, we need across the board. Businesses and companies are backbone of our economic, but equally protecting the individual household is absolutely essential too. 

Please support this petition, so that our government can take notice.

On a positive note: collectively we shall get over this global challenge and three words come to my mind while our government and medical experts are taking steps to protect us :  ISOLATE, CURE and PRAY!   - we need to do our bit.
