Brendan Eich, new CEO of Mozilla (that's the company behind Firefox) contributed more than $1000 in support of California's notorious proposition 8. Employees of Firefox have already taken a stand, publically calling for his dimissal in the belief that his anti-gay stance places him in opposition to the company's ethos of equality.

Some sites are urging users to ditch the Firefox browser, but rather than punishing an open and diverse team, this issue needs to be amended on an individual level. 

Mozilla: Please terminate Brendan Eich's employment at your company. Your continuing use of him not only as your public face in the business world but as the figurehead of your company promotes the idea that inequality of any form is acceptable, even in the fast-moving, forward-facing industries of the tech-world.
