Move The Train!

Move The Train!
The Issue
During World War II Charleston was the primary re-entry point for the most seriously wounded service members in the European and African campaigns and received as many as 4,000 casualties each month.
Even though there is an alternative track outside the District, the SC Dept. of Commerce, has requested permission to construct a rail line that will bisect the Charleston Naval Hospital Historic District. As a result, The National Trust for Historic Preservation has named the District one of the Most Endangered Historic Places in America.
In order to honor their service and sacrifice, we must preserve this monument to the Wounded Warriors of the Greatest Generation and Stop The Train!
