The National Weather Service of Jackson Mississippi has stationed a NEXRAD radar station in Brandon Mississippi. However, there is a beam that gets blocked by an object that obscures the view of some storms. What we noticed, is that a water tower. Radar should view all directions as clear as possible as this is very important data for meteorologist & the NWS office alike. It would be perfect if the water tower gets moved into a different spot so it doesn't block the radar site. It's way too close to the radar dome. Here's one tweet explaining it here as blocks it. And here's another. The beam height that the water tower blocks from 0.3° to 1.3° tilts, the lower levels of the storm. Something needs to be done to change this.
