Motorsports Kenya (The Federation)
The Issue
As many of you know, motorsports in Kenya has suffered under a flawed structure, one that has been defended by the current self-proclaimed chairman of the institution. This structure dictates that the chairman of an affiliated club automatically becomes a board member of KMSF. This system allows a club chairman to potentially hold power indefinitely, leaving no room for input from drivers, navigators, officials, or any other stakeholders involved in the sport.
Recognizing the need for change and motivated by our passion for the sport, a dedicated group led by Eric Bengi decided to take action. We approached the Sports Registrar to establish a new national federation.
The new constitution is comprehensive, inclusive, legally compliant with the Sports Act, and supportive of gender equality, diversity, and youth involvement. It ensures that no single person or group can monopolize control over the federation.
We are on the brink of a new era for motorsports in Kenya, with a federation committed to revitalising the sport. We want your voice to be heard and ask you to choose change and a total new beginning to motorsports in Kenya
