Motorola: Commit to an equitable and reliable and regular update cycle, and meet that commitment as well as previously made ones.

The Issue

In what has become a repeated cycle of betrayed promises going on for years; In regards to the Moto E series of phones, some of which are less than a year old Motorola:

- Has failed to provide sufficient and reliable and properly represented security and system update track for their devices.

- Has betrayed specific commitments to update US Moto E 2nd Gen, for which they have a page announcing that the update has been released even though many devices have not received it.

- Has falsely labeled an incremental update to Android 5.0.x as the highly sought after update to Android 5.1.x.

- Has betrayed a general promise to keep phones updated, applicable to many models in the Moto E series.

- Has used the aforementioned broken commitments to increase sales while later leaving devices unsecured due to failure to meet those commitments. This betrayal of promises takes money out of peoples wallets, forces premature obsolescence, leaves devices less secure than they should be, and puts more devices in landfills.
