I would like to ask all shopping malls, and centres with bins available to visitors, to place recycling bins adjacent to all bins in the entire centre. These centres often have recycling bins in the food court, however, some food vendors are outside of the food court where recycling bins are not available. Additionally, visitors often browse around these centres carrying food and drinks in containers that could be recycled. These containers often end up in landfill because recycling bins are not available throughout the centre. When you consider the number of plastic drink bottles alone that are sold in these centres on a daily basis, surely a sizeable difference could be made in reducing the amount of plastic from these bottles ending up in landfill by simply making more recycling bins available to visitors.
