The residents of Moore County, NC call for the resignation of the Board of Education five member alliance (Kathy Farren, Laura Lang, Ben Cameron, Becky S. Carlson, and Sue Black) responsible for the dismissal of Superintendent Grimesey. We believe that these elected officials failed to carry out their duties and honor their commitment to act in accordance with the requests of their constituents. By choosing to vote for the removal of Dr. Grimesey, the five member alliance has made the Moore County Board of Education an ineffective entity and the citizens of Moore County have lost all faith and confidence in their leadership.

We request that the following members of the Board of Education - Kathy Farren, Laura Lang, Ben Cameron, Becky S. Carlson, and Sue Black - resign no later than Monday, June 8, 2015 at noon so we can move forward as a community and rebuild trust and faith in our education system.

Additionally, we also request that Kathy Kennedy, Associate Superintendent of Instructional Design and Innovation, resign her position with Moore County Schools no later than Monday, June 8, 2015 at noon. We believe that her personal animosity towards Dr. Grimesey and profession ambition significantly influenced the decision of the Board of Education five member alliance resulting in the unjustified termination of Dr. Grimesey.
