Hello Supporters! Just wanted to update you on my meeting with Dr. Thompson about the status of feedback on our petition. In a nutshell, he immediately took the opportunity to use the excuse of the pandemic and dealing with those important issues. I explained we understand that and we all feel the importance of that however not even to acknowledge our concern with a projected date of discussion or even reaching out to me to give me a status. He understood and I made our concerns clear. I understood him also and look forward to some type of feedback soon. I took the opportunity to wear a MOCO Indian shirt also and shared my story of my great great Grandfather Sam Mickens, a Black Indian told by my 100 year old Granny who passed away recently. I told him for me and my generation that logo on my shirt was equivalent to “blackface”. No human race should be marginalized as such.
