I was able to get feedback from a Native American family who moved here 5 years ago. They both were raised on a reservation and was aware of my petition. They agree with all of us about their heritage and culture should not be mascots and appreciate what is happening to change the mascot not just here but  other places such as Cleveland and Kansas City. They would recommend we start eliminating the band playing those drums and the fans stop doing the tomahawk chop thing. It’s make them squirm every time. Their kids are active in sports and it’s really degrading to them and I’m going to bring this up immediately to our school board. #weareinthistogether
