As of Monday September 30th my children’s school Molly Brant Elementary School here in Kingston has stopped locking the front doors. This is due to the current work to rule situation. As a parent I am furious that the safety of our children is not being made a priority. This is allowing anyone to walk freely into the front door of the school. Last year Kingston was terrorized by threats of harm to all schools here. Who’s to say this or even worse could not happen today! Not only is this being neglectful to our children but basically asking for a problem. They are not doing their Due diligence to protect these children or staff from any harm. It is almost criminal. And why is our school the only one doing this in Kingston. It is the principal’s decision. Shame on you Limestone District School Board making Principal Fraser own the responsibility of making the decision of having our doors unlocked! I am calling on all parents to ask for the front doors to be secured once again. Please sign this petition.
