We demand support and staff for our children!

Our Dayton Board of Education, Superintendent, and Administration are denying our students the services they need in order to be successful, by laying off dozens of teachers! The other large urban districts in Ohio are supporting students with the programming and staff needed to educate students during this unprecedented pandemic. Bring our teachers back to work so our children have the benefit of:

• Preschool: A promise that early childhood education is critical for our youngest and most vulnerable asset
• Nurses & Counselors: Medical needs and social/emotional support is more important now than ever for all students, especially special needs, foster children, medically fragile, and those at risk for abuse or neglect
• Music, Art, PE, and Librarians: denying a well-rounded & complete educational program to our youth is damaging and puts them behind suburban peers and the rest of the large urban school districts in Ohio
• The remaining teachers: this should be an "all hands on deck" year-every able bodied teacher should be called back so they can reach out and support Dayton's children!
