We, the residents and frequent visitors of the Dix Hill Park community, respectfully petition for the long-overdue modernization of Dix Hill Park, including the addition of a new playground. Our beloved park, while cherished for its natural beauty, has been neglected for far too long, lacking essential updates to better serve our growing community.

Currently, Dix Hill Park's amenities, including its mulch flooring, pose safety concerns for our children, causing discomfort and potential injuries. As a result, families often travel ten minutes away to access parks with safer flooring options, depriving our community of a convenient and enjoyable recreational space.

Moreover, as taxpayers who contribute a substantial amount to the local government's revenue, we believe it is only fair that a portion of these funds be allocated to the improvement and maintenance of our community spaces. Investing in the modernization of Dix Hill Park, including the installation of a new playground, would not only enhance the quality of life for residents but also demonstrate the government's commitment to meeting the needs of its constituents.

Dix Hill Park has not seen significant updates or renovations in recent memory, despite the changing needs and demographics of our community. It is time to rectify this neglect and revitalize our park into a safe and vibrant space for all residents to enjoy.
