Mockery and Deframing of Muslim woman in hijab and niqob

Mockery and Deframing of Muslim woman in hijab and niqob
The Issue
I am a Muslim woman, and I proudly wear the Hijab and Niqab as they are not just pieces of attire, but symbolize my profound faith and obedience to my religion. Watching the misrepresentation of Muslim women like me in the Nigerian movie "Life Lately/Live of an Actor" produced by Nancy Isime was deeply hurtful and offensive. The movie portrayed two characters dressed in such attire, but judged criminally by wild guns and other deadly weapons.
The distressing portrayal is not just a gross distortion of our faith and dress code, but it falsely associated us with violence and terrorism. This is incorrect and a gross injustice to the millions of Muslim women across the world who respectfully wear their Hijab and Niqab.
Islam is a religion of peace and love. The dressing of a Muslim woman is a representation of her deep faith and humility, not in any way connected to criminal or violent activities.
We demand the immediate withdrawal of the said movie from all platforms. In addition, we require a public apology from the producers and the actress for this thoughtless misrepresentation, which has caused significant distress to the Muslim community, particularly Muslim women who wear the Hijab and Niqab.
Let's stand together against misrepresentation and religious defamation. Please sign this petition to support our cause and to demand respect and understanding for our religion
