Public school : Misuse of power and negligence to teen with disability

Public school : Misuse of power and negligence to teen with disability
The Issue
Florida school principal failing my daughter!
Bringing awareness to misuse of power, negligence, and emotional distress from a public school principal.
Please sign the petition to force the school to allow my daughter her rights, no family or child should be treated this way, and no administrator should be allowed to cause so much trauma when their original place of power is meant to be to protect the young and vulnerable.
My 14 year old daughter has several medical diagnosis (listed in the link below) and after PTSD from ITMS she was forced to have an IEP so she could be placed into Hospital Homebound. She has been placed in hospital homebound through our local public school, Indiana Trails Middles school. My daughter was unable to finish 7th grade and unable to attend 8th grade. After much discussion and full agreement from my daughter, her hospital homebound teacher, her many doctors and physicians we have decided that it is best to have my daughter retained to repeat her 8th grade year with enrollment in a charter school that specializes in helping kids with medical disabilities. The Charter school is fully on board to with having my daughter retained and enrolled into their school with plenty of medical support in place. Unfortunately, the principal at our district public school in Seminole county is refusing to sign agreement for retention. My daughter does not attend that school and will not attend that school. The principal is just refusing to do what is in best interest of my daughter's academic and mental state. This is causing emotional distress, further delaying my daughters academic success, as well as undermining the sound advice of medical and academic professionals. My daughter wants to be retained to attend the specialized school and work on a form of normalcy to help her ease into the transition of going into high school the following school year. Please help us and getting this principal to sign the paper. My daughter has been dealt a difficult hand, living with rare autoimmune disorder is challenging enough, this should not be another battle to fight. Please help us be heard!
There is much more to this story, bullying, physical violence, emotional harassment, falsifying legal documents and misuse of power. Which has caused my daughters overall medical and mental health to crumble. All due to this principals ego.
Feb 17, 2022 my daughter was physically attacked when walking to ask the teacher to use the restroom. The teacher did nothing, and the boy was allowed to remain unpunished not even removed from the classroom. I went to the school moments after the attack and was told there was nothing the school could do. That their hands were tied and our best option was to file a police report. So we did this to then be informed that because my daughter defended herself she could have charged pressed against her cause the state of FL doesn't acknowledge means of defense. Could not believe this! When demanding something be done we were told our only option was to file a " no contact clause" because they could not remove them from same classes due to lack of teachers. We filed the "no contact clause" but this did nothing and only escalated the matter. My daughter then was being verbally threatened, cornered in bathrooms being told she was going to be killed. The school did nothing! I found out through research that by law the school has to provide an "FLEID" number so we could take advantage of "The Hope Scholarship" so she could move to a different middle school. I had to plead multiple times for this and once finally received the document was falsified. Then administration began harassing my daughter in front of her peers about me being vocal in asking for what is legally our rights, access to her FLEID. The principal at no point in time wanted to speak with me or address this situation. I threatened to file a restraining order against the administrator who continued to harass my daughter. My daughter has rare autoimmune issues which makes her more vulnerable. The PTSD from this entire situation caused her to form Functional Neurological Disorder. This is documented in her medical records as she has spent multiple days and weeks at Arnold Palmer Children's hospital from this situation. Her symptoms became so severe that the hospital had to force ITMS to agree to Hospital Homebound. Once again this should not have been a fight. The school should want to do what is best for the children they are placed over to protect!
Please sign the petition to force the school to allow my daughter her rights, no family or child should be treated this way, and no administrator should be allowed to cause so much trauma when their original place of power is meant to be to protect the young and vulnerable.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
