I have attached the news story to this update. Minno's owner had to file a suit against the vet's office, because she does not have the name of person her took her dog. I am still hoping law enforcement will step in here even though they have said it is a civil case. She can't take the person to civil court if she does not know the person's name. This person in my opinion has stolen this dog twice, now. HomeAgain has told me they are aware of the case and are hoping to help somehow. I am perplexed that the vet office thinks that it is Minno's owner's fault. The chip was registered to her name, her address and her email and that should be enough. The vet should have called animal control when someone else not named on the chip tried to pick the dog up. Did they even check the names? We certainly need clearer laws about this. If law enforcement are saying it is civil on one hand, yet telling vet office they should not give out the name of the person they gave owner's dog to? How can owner fairly take this person to court? Please help us share this petition!
