Rose Whipple, Frances Wetherall and the Youth Climate Interveners

Aug 21, 2017
And we’re off! Those of us on the Paddle to Protect trip have been paddling for several days now on our journey to fight this pipeline. We’ve met with well-known indigenous environmental activist and writer, Winona LaDuke, who gave us traditional dried foods for our journey. She taught us about the wild rice, and how it would be affected by the new Line 3 route. We spent hours floating through islands of conifers and hardwoods, through golden sunrises and rain showers.
This is why we are here, to connect with the waters we stand for.
Follow the Paddle to Protect Journey and find out how you can meet up with us along the way on the Stop Line 3 Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/StopLine3/.
