Indian Football is in the developmental stages. But Indian Women's Football still has no signs of improvement with the current authority in charge. The women of our nation have been fighting hard to prove everyone wrong and perform well even without any facilities provided to them.

Recently, the AFC Women's Asian Cup hosted by India after 32 years saw India get disqualified from the tournament, with the only explanation from AIFF being, "the girls breached the bio bubble resulting in more than a dozen of players catching covid". First, no report or proofs were shown. Second, the girls know the very few opportunities they get so they would never waste an opportunity this big (which could've taken them to the 2023 World Cup) by being irresponsible. Third, even if all this is true, how could the management let something of this magnitude happen, when literally no other team has contacted the virus?

Hence, the Football world in India desperately needs a change. We need to remove the politicians who have never played Football or any sports, who don't even know the names of our national players. They must be immediately removed from their posts. Only ex-players or coaches should be allowed for these positions. Such laws need to come into existence. And it's not even about the economy now. The Central government provides AIFF with enough funds, it's the AIFF which only comprises of politicians and ministers who consume the bonuses, salaries and fund for development for women's Football for their own good. All funds provided to start a Women's league, create a Women's team for all ISL teams, and continue leagues like IWL never reaches the players or staff.
