For too long, truck drivers have had to retake a written examination every 5 years. 

Basically a truck driver has to do his G1 every 5 years regardless of how much experience they have. 

Ontario is the only jurisdiction in Canada to have this requirement and has no impact on safety. There is no proven impact on safety with this test.  

We are petitioning Doug Ford, the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Red Tape to eliminate this unnecessary burden on truck drivers and reduce red tape in the trucking industry.
