We need to petition the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) to install red light cameras through Salmon Arm. The fact that local residents know to watch for vehicles blowing through red lights when crossing the TCH in Salmon Arm means there is a need for this. With red light cameras and signs warning about them, hopefully there will be fewer close calls and accidents due to vehicles trying to speed through the lights.
The video with this shows a rare time when RCMP happens to witness it.
