Gratuity Enhancement from 01/01/2016 for ALL

We are receiving good response and so far nearly 20000 people signed the petition. It is really catching up ... I receive calls from various retired bank officials from several parts of the country, mostly bankers. A few retirees from other sectors too calling. I started this petition as an awareness mission and to spell out Discrimination against certain sectors of the employees. My thinking is that why we should travel on the same track that Effective Date in the past is always prospective and not retrospective. WHEN GOVERNMENT DECIDES TO EXTEND SOME WELFARE MEASURES TO WORKING CLASS WHY SHOULD BE DISCRIMINATION. I always have great respects for Leaders of Trade Union who try their best to bargain better deal. This time the initial demand was made for Effective Date 01/01/2016 long ago but the implementation is delayed and government went back in its promise for favourable consideration. Now the petition is at a crucial point and it is observed that it has not reached many in public sector undertakings and private sector organizations. So more and more sharing and communications needed to reach those people. Also it is very important to request respective union/association and retirees' association to take up the issue with the Government as their voice is always heard. Today some pensioners association has taken up the issue with government after AIBOC. I wish on this line some members take up the new petition PENSION FOR ALL on behalf employees who were deprived of pension and inducted to NPS.
