There should be a multi prong approach to the bring the issue of discrimination to the notice of Labour Ministry, PMO by various trade union/organizations to change the date effective from 01/01/2016. As per information received from AIBOC: Quote: We are still in touch with Labour& Law ministry for revised date for gratuity. Addl Secretary Labour said that AIBOC alone had been following up the issue regularly. Has spoken to lawyers. To make respective representative unions/associations from all sectors who have been deprived of enhancement, to take up the issue with MOL and PMO. This deprivation is Not pertains to Bank alone. Insurance sector, PSU sectors and other private sectors are also aggrieved. Wide publicity to all sector employees to sign petition and up with the authorities is need of the hour.
