Ministry of Education: Abort 2021 CSEC Paper 2 Examination

0 have signed. Let’s get to 25,000!

We, the members of the graduating class of 2021, do request to petition the Ministry of Education to grant our request of not having to do paper 2 of the CSEC examinations. This request is due to the fact that we have been enduring various challenges as a result of the ongoing pandemic, which has put us at a grave disadvantage; even more than our predecessors, who would have received more face to face preparation time than we have.

Some of our immediate challenges are a lack of, as well as poor internet connection, financial strains to obtain data. Many of us have to operate within environments that are not ideal for learning, which results in the inability to concentrate.

The stress of the pandemic has also been affecting our mental health, which also adds to our list of challenges, resulting in the difficulty of learning and retaining subject matter that is vital to our success.

Amidst all of this, many of our teachers have their own limitations due to the pandemic, which has and continues to affect the delivery of the curriculum.

These are just some of the many challenges that we are faced with as final year students, and we do believe that these should be taken into consideration,  and our request be granted to only sit paper 1 of our final external examinations. Thank you.
