Our Faithful companions, best friends of humans are treated the worst way possible after serving for life in our Army. 

The day they are deemed unfit for for one month active services, they are euthanized citing 2 reasons:

1) The upkeep of such dogs/horses with the kind of facilities they enjoyed while in service is expensive.

2) Since they are familiar with sensitive locations while in service, it won't be safe to leave them in civilian hands.

I ask you, is that the way we treat our human military veterans? Don't the benefits they enjoy after retirement costs money? do they forget the sensitive locations post the active life?

I am deeply shocked and saddened after reading the news about this side of the forces that I have always held in highest esteem. There are laws even for the treatment of the enemy soldiers but none for the animals who also provide great and loyal services to our nation. Just because they can't speak or fight for their rights, can the army keep on 'humanely' killing them?

Make your voice count. Sign the petition asking the Ministry of Defense to direct the army to stop this inhuman practice and give the glorious post retirement life to these voiceless beings which they rightly and fully deserve.
