We usually think about our Nation, our Environment, our City, our community, our family and ourselves. As a matured human being we should also think about safety and comfort of other living beings i.e. animals.

Instead of debating who was responsible for the police horse "Shaktiman" loosing its leg at recent Dehradun incident. We should take corrective measures to stop this cruelty to animals from the source of its origination.

Policemen riding horses to control protests and mob violence is a British Raj era practice. We are living in a modern society. Hence use of such animals and putting their wellbeing at risk should be disbanded immediately.

Government should ban use of horses by Indian Police throughout the country to avoid such incidents to reoccur in future.
