Save Wild Elephants in Sri Lanka. Stop feeding them with plastic waste!

The Issue

In Sri Lanka there is no Management for, how to discard / dispose the waste. People throw their domestic and industrial wast along the side of the roads, on private properties etc. This hideous act must stop. There are no proper rubbish dumps / rubbish tips allocated by the local Council. It is The Government's responsibility to provide basic need for it's Citizens and establish proper rubbish dumping sites away from human dwelling within the Councils governing area on the basis of " pay by user." The new trend is now, The said Councils which Governed by the Central Government opt to tip domestic and industrial wast in forests where there home to many thousands of endangered animals. The most vulnerable are The Elephants who eats those rubbish contained plastic shopping bags and other toxic waste and die. This is a huge environmental issue and chances are high to spread diseases and making unpleasant atmosphere. The Government, The Council and the Minister for Wildlife and Conservation turn their blind eye for this horrendous act.  Also a particular former Government Minister cleared thousands of acres of national parks and national reserves in order to replace certain group for the purpose of multiplication of that particular group of people. The result being wildlife is coming face to face with humans. Sri Lanka is loved by many locals and foreigners around the world. We need to look after this beautiful Mother Nature and also be an answer to Global warming issue. In one hand clearing the forest and other hand feeding Wildlife with toxic waste doesn't go hand in hand! Please help me signing this petition to pressure the Government to establish rubbish dumps within every local councils away from human dwelling in order keep the balance of wildlife the nature and human life style and to keep tackle the Global warming. It will save our endangers wildlife!

Thanking You
