In October 2018 elephants were beaten and stabbed by their handlers in Taman Safari Bogor Indonesia. 

Taman Safari is one of the groups touted by zoo protectionist Cee4Life helping the Bandung Zoo.

Taman Safari Bogor is run by Mr Tony Samampau, Secretary General of PKBSI (Indonesia Zoo and Aquarium Association).

Taman Safari actively breeds their animals and has a baby zoo.
