There have been multiple occasions where tamariki in OUR Kura have been discriminated against, undervalued, threatened, insulted, discouraged, exposed to inappropriate language and material and as a result, no longer feel safe in their own kura.

They have not been heard by those in power regardless of peer support!

They have not been heard by those in power regardless of whānau support!

They have not been heard by those in authority or leadership roles who are supposed to protect and provide a safe learning environment for our tamariki. 

And here we are; refusing to be silenced any longer, reaching out to our community.

This petition is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our tamariki, mokopuna, whanau and Kaiako of Te Raki o Pukekohe, Pukekohe North School is paramount - who at present are in danger!

What we would like to achieve is the removal of the current Acting Principal from Pukekohe North School and the renewal of the Pukekohe North School Board of Trustees as we do not see neither Acting Principal or The Board of Trustees working with or on behalf of the students, whanau and community of OUR Kura.

We have concerns which include but are not limited to:

The voices of our tamariki SILENCED when raising concerns about their own satefy, wellbeing and MANA.
Kaiako being bullied and not being treated fairly in their work environment.
Whaanau not being acknowledged or appreciated and fear entering the school due to bullying and intimidating behaviour within the school
Lack of management support to raise Māori achievement
ZERO Māori representation of either Mana Whenua, or our local Marae.
Pukekohe North School students are doing amazing things in the community and further.

We as a community and whanau have seen no acknowledgment, nor support from either parties of their achievements.

In order to resolve these issues we wish to see:

a) The Removal of the current Acting Principal from our Kura

b) The current Board of Trustees Chairman and Board members removed 

c) A new Board of Trustees Elected
