AHAR appear more worried about how they are portrayed than the actual welfare of the animals. Our concern is and always has been the welfare of the animals. There are serious concerns about the suitability of those running AHAR. The founder and current manager's rants have already been highlighted. In addition :- •AHAR have no planning permission to be a rescue - despite being at their current location - Crag - for 4 years. •Indoor arena deemed unfit to house animals by KCC planning department - but still currently used for that purpose. •Inadequate facilities for the storage and removal of animal waste. •Kerry County Council dog pound no longer referring dogs to AHAR. •Code Red scams - fake rescues revealed by national broadcaster. •RTÉ aired 2 exposés on AHAR. •AHAR complaints REJECTED by BAI about the above RTÉ programmes. •Moritorium on equines entering and leaving AHAR. •Board members departing regularly. •AHAR no longer in receipt of government grants. •Accounts overdue. •No regular updates on ALL the animals. •Reasonable questions deleted and people blocked. •NOT REPORTING ABUSE!
