Amazing response sees us reach 21,000 signatures that have now joined the campaign to hold AHAR to account. We are most grateful and humbled by your efforts. Thank you. Please keep up the good work and continue sharing far and wide as EVERY signature matters and without us the animals have no voice.

⚠️WARNING - Distressing story and pictures.
Resharing this so that poor Firefly's death will not have been in vain and that newcomers can read this horrendous tale. #EnoughIsEnough #IsTHISRescue
'FIREFLY'......18 MONTHS OF NEGLECT AT AHAR. NEVER ONCE MENTIONED UNTIL SHE WAS DYING AND USED AS A TOOL FOR EMOTIONAL MANIPULATION AND GAINING SYMPATHY AND ATTENTION AND ADULATION and of course MONEY, MONEY, MONEY.
1. On Saturday 16th November 2013, a number of well fed horses were collected from their owner in County Antrim by AHAR having discovered that the owner was seeking assistance with rehoming.
2. At least one of these horses was rehomed by AHAR and it is not known what happened to some of the others, but at least one other of them, a bay mare, was taken to the AHAR centre in Kerry on the evening of the 16th November 2013.
3. Almost 18 months later, the mare eventually appeared in a deplorable emaciated condition in a deliberately designed emotionally manipulative post on the AHAR Facebook page, resulting in the desired glorification of the AHAR manager and huge influx of donations to AHAR.
***** HER NAME WAS FIREFLY*****
Here's the original post on 30th April 2015:
https://m.facebook.com/ahar.ie/posts/979780868708273
The post is an astonishingly outrageous and brass-necked premeditated transferal of guilt.
4. Some exerpts from the Ahar post and comments by Ahar themselves:
"It's time you met Firefly........She staggered out of a horse box just bones and attitude, an attitude I believe helped keep her alive. She didn't want to be touched or looked at or she would go for your face in anger if you tried to step into her space. She screamed without speaking "you are one of them, get away from me"
"We were asked to save her, no questions asked. You hear that as a rescuer but you deal with that later".
"Firefly is only legally ours and safe with a few weeks (reason we couldn't tell her story till now)".
"Delighted to finally share our secret."
"I always have many secrets, some take time to share".
"....for all who neglected her and did not see the potential, I know her family at Ahar will never let her go back to those days"
5. In a series of private messages, an acquaintance of Ahar Exposed (AE) was sternly WARNED.... (by two of the people who were present in Antrim the day Firefly was 'rescued') .... to tell AE to NOT proceed with exposing the truth about the origin of Firefly....for reasons that had nothing to do with the inevitable death of Firefly or the welfare of any of the other horses.
6. On May 2015 on the AHAR page there is a video of Firefly walking while showing signs of a severely painful condition known as azoturia or 'tying up' .... which obviously went unnoticed by the (self claimed horse expert the AHAR manager)

For more information on azoturia, please click onto the screen shot from the walking video for a synopsis of this link: http://www.equiwinner.com/tying-up-in-horses.htm
7. Also a video of emaciated Firefly eating an enormous bucket of unsuitable feed for a horse in her fragile condition. For more info on this, please click on to the PHOTO of her eating. Here's the video:

8. Photos accompanying this post are taken from the Ahar Facebook page and they include a still from the AHAR video of Firefly walking. Also includes a still from the worrying video of the emaciated horse eating from an enormous bucket of feed.
9. More photos here accompanying a further self congratulatory, egotistical and delusional post by Ahar detailing Firefly's so called recovery progress.

10. Finally the unashamedely self serving Ahar post about Firefly's very sad and prolonged and cruel death..... accompanied by 5,768 likes and 2K comments of lavish praise and awe and genuine sympathy and sadness by kind hearted and generous and well meaning animal lovers. Thousands of concerned people who were falsely led to believe that Firefly was only at AHAR for a few weeks and who were obviously not aware of the real story of 18 months of cruelty and neglect of a vulnerable horse at the hands of the AHAR manager. https://m.facebook.com/ahar.ie/photos/a.611288758890821.1073741849.145876848765350/981624968523863/
