Thank you for your support. The petrol station development application is now with the State Assessment Referral Agency (SARA). The council forwarded it onto them as they will assess the DA against the state planning system and coordinate the referral agency's response. The only referral agency identified by the council is the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), as Bunya Street is a state-controlled road. We have lodged a comprehensive submission to SARA (cc'd to TMR and Council) detailing all the evidence of how the DA, and the attached traffic impact assessment report, is flawed and not remotely reflective of the real impact this development will have on traffic and pedestrian safety at the proposed site. Our submission also addresses the emission impacts and safety risks presented by the DA. This is an important opportunity to show the state and local governments how many people oppose this inappropriate development.
