There are now some indications that St Modwen are prepared to move on both applications. There have had some very positive meetings regarding preserving (significantly) more of the existing buildings and ensuring that any future development reflects the character and physical impact of the Works. The Lidl application they are also now prepared to move on the design/layout of the development – although it’s not clear yet exactly what that means.
