The Issue

The Internet Has Gone Dark in Iran, Here’s How Humanity Can Help
Right now, millions of Iranians are cut off:

When the Iranian government shuts down the internet, as it has done repeatedly during times of unrest — families cannot reach each other, journalists cannot report, and the world goes blind to what is happening on the ground. These blackouts are not accidents. They are a deliberate tool of control, designed to isolate a population at its most vulnerable.

Starlink has already proven it can reach Iran. The satellite coverage exists. The technology works. The missing piece is simple: the hardware is not in people’s hands.
We are asking SpaceX, humanitarian organisations, and international partners to explore an emergency airdrop program — delivering Starlink terminals to Iranian civilians via parachute.

This is not without precedent. Humanitarian airdrops have delivered food, medicine, and supplies to populations in crisis for decades. Connectivity, in the modern world, belongs in that same category. A Starlink terminal is not a luxury — it is a lifeline to family, to truth, and to the outside world.
We call on SpaceX to:

  • Partner with humanitarian organisations to fund and coordinate emergency device distribution
  • Explore aerial delivery of terminals to regions experiencing active internet shutdowns
  • Activate and maintain free Starlink service for Iran during periods of government-imposed blackout.

When a government silences its people, the rest of humanity has a choice: look away, or find a way to pass the signal through.
Please sign this petition. Share it. Make noise.

Every signature tells SpaceX, and the world, that access to information is a human right, and that we will not accept darkness as the answer.
