Women are losing their lives everyday to men. We need a change before more lives are lost!
The Issue
I am Laquata Wilson! I am also a survivor of gun/domestic violence! Myself and the other five victims will forever be changed due to a mans violent actions. Life after trauma is so much harder than anyone can imagine. I've been in and out of surgeries all year. Feb.12,2020 will be the year anniversary of the shootings. One victim did not survive which has devastated us all tremendously. Her name is Shanijela Williams. The guy that did this to us was out on multiple bonds and was well known to law enforcement for such crimes as these and also guns, all while being a felon.
I don't understand how he was allowed bond time and time again just get go back with more charges that were getting more violent overtime. My mission is to get the law to protect us as much as possible especially when you see a background such as his and then still decide to release him to the public until something tragic happens. Where was our due diligence to protect us from this man? I would like for any law in south Carolina and other states to be changed to protect us. Its to many women dying by domestic abuse and/or gun violence! I am shays voice! I am all survivors voice and those that didn't voices. Please help me make this change!
