As you are probably all aware by now we are waiting for the upcoming elections of the Regional Assembly in Madeira in September and of course there are preparations being made for this now.

PAN have only been in existance since 2014 and have already made a big impact on the voting population of Portugal as they have gained 1 seat in the Regional Assembly and 1 seat in the European Parliament elections.

Should they gain even 2 more seats in the Maderian Regional Assembly, this would mean that they would have a voice in all Maderian political decisions including animal welfare, housing, finance, education etc., It is therefore vitally important that they do this this year as otherwise they would have to wait 4 more years to try again!!

It seems that these islands also are attracting the attention of Hollywood  Director Steven Speilberg has he has recently purchased an island (deserted) in the Maderian Archipeligo, and i hear through the grapevine that these islands were supposed to be only for wildlife, or so the government said!!
