Hello everyone,

I have just been reading about the other animal charity on the island which is called SPAD. These do have a private vetinary service but also take in stray and unwanted dogs. They have put a notice on the Madeira Island News blog. asking for help from the public in terms of donations and they may introduce a membership system whereby members pay 35 euros a year which would go towards the animals keep. They are also asking for Government help but i don't see this forthcoming.

I am looking for competitions, and sites that donate food to a selected animal charity once a month, to gain more support and funding for Ajuda a Alimentar Caes.

I am also collecting spare money in a jar so that i can buy dry food for the dogs and anything else they need.

Please continue to send them donations wherever possible please
