A very big thankyou to all my supporters of this petition.

I have been in touch with one of the biggest animal charities on Madeira to see what information they can add to this regarding the stray dog situation here on Madeira and they say they have been overwhelmed by this problem for a very long time and the government turn a blind eye to it all. They say they are supposed to get money allocated to animal welfare from the EU but they don't receive any funding, so where is this money going to?? 

They are very concerned with the amount of dogs that have been chained for years and are producing litter after litter of puppies that they find abandoned by roadsides next to garbage bins.!!
