In 1999, Steve Jobs introduced a game called Halo at Macworld. Microsoft bought Bungie shortly after, and Halo became the crown jewel of Xbox. Jobs was furious. The gamers didn't care. (Video game) Combat had evolved - and it was awesome!

That was 25 years ago. Bungie left Xbox in 2007, and Halo has been lost in the woods ever since...For nearly two decades, Halo fans have been treated to unfinished launches, failed roadmaps, and a TV show that made a mockery of the Master Chief. Every time, we were promised a turning point. Every time, we showed up. And every time, we've been let down.

This week, Microsoft handed the next Halo game to Activision. Maybe that works out. But the games were never the whole problem. The story of Halo has been told badly on screen, by a studio that was allowed to ignore the lore, and nobody at Microsoft stopped them.

We are not asking Microsoft to sell Halo.

Why Apple

License Halo's TV and film rights to a studio that has earned the fans' trust, and let them build it with the people who know this universe. Bungie alumni. The writers who built the books.

We think Apple TV+ is the obvious candidate. Severance, Silo, and Foundation prove they trust their audience, protect the creative vision, and actually deliver on schedule. Halo started on a Mac, so there's a nice full circle there. That's our ask: license the TV and film rights to Apple, and let them build it with the people who know this universe.

Who We Are

We're Halo fans who came together before Infinite launched, decoding trailers and hunting Easter eggs because we loved this universe. We still do. We're not asking for refunds. We're asking that a story that forged countless friendships gets a real shot at being told properly.
