Under proposed legislation currently under consideration by the Michigan Legislature, all individuals under 20 will have their minimum wage reduced from $8.50 to $7.25 an hour. As we try to pay for college, which is becoming increasingly expensive, or begin our own lives, which is not easy for a young person, we ask that our wages not be reduced when we are at our most financially insecure point of our lives.
