End Gas Chambers for Animals

I watched a disturbing documentary titled One Nation Under Dog. In this documentary they filmed dogs being placed in a dumpster/gas chamber to euthanize them. They placed about 10 healthy dogs inside and gassed them to death. You could hear them crying in pain. Then they added several puppies in on top of the dead dogs and gassed the puppies as well; once again you could hear them crying in pain. To add insult to injury, a dump truck came along after and dumped them all into a dump truck to haul off to a landfill. This disgusted me so much to see how little care was given to ending these poor dogs' lives. With painless injections, why are gas chambers still legal? So I did some research and found that four states still allow this method of euthanizing animals; Missouri, Ohio, Wyoming, and Utah This is appalling, especially when we made so much progress last year in Ohio by passing Goddard's Law. We are a country that loves our pets and expect care and compassion, even in death. There is an estimated 69,926,000 dogs and 74,059,000 cats in American households; obviously we love them. So please tell me, how are we still torturing animals this way? It's time to follow suit with the rest of the country and ban animal gas chambers. I am asking you to seriously look into this and put a stop to it. I understand there are many pressing issues going on in this country such as gun control, but we cannot teach people about kindness if we still use such a heinous method to end innocent lives.
