Aggies for Doggies

Mar 28, 2018
Howdy! I wanted to give a quick update to let everyone know we are STILL at it at TAMU and are making huge strides toward a successful shut-down of the cruel DMD dog labs.
We had an event last night where two PETA researchers gave a presentation to the public about how the dog labs at TAMU have not been fruitful for human MD patients. They cited Dr. Kornegay's research where he himself says the research cannot be applied to human medicine. They also talked about alternatives like "organ-on-a-chip" and several studies that have been published on using actual human tissue and blood to further our understanding of the disease, without the need for breeding and testing on animals.
Everyone in attendance left more informed about the dog labs and animal testing in general.
Within a broken system, we are trying to end some of the cruelest and least helpful animal laboratories, Dr. Kornegay's included. Please share our petition again to raise awareness that this is still happening and to keep the pressure on Texas A&M to end these dog labs once and for all.
Thank you for your continued support!
