Colorado is known to be a very eco-friendly state. But what most people don't know is that the majority of meat we consume comes from factory farming which is one of the greatest contributers to climate change. Introducing Meatless Mondays could have a tremendous impact on our stride towards a clean and healthy future. Denver county is a great place to start because of its growing population and its attitude towards the environment and progression . Humans eat an unhealthy amount of meat as it is, so dropping just one day will be beneficial to not only the animals and the environment, but to our health.  The amount of water and land needed to house and supply thousands of animals that are treated horrible should be enough of an incentive to start with one day of change. The quicker we can reach our goal, the quicker we can make a difference in the world we chose to pass on to our children.
