The proposed ordinance to repeal the MAC was unanimously adopted to begin the legislative process. The public hearing to discuss the repeal ordinance is tentatively scheduled for June 8th. You can track its progress on the website. 

We can't let our guard down!
We all need to go on June 8 to the Chairman's Council of Policy to make sure the MAC repeal advances to second reading and approval!

This is the true opportunity for the public to be heard. We need a large crowd - yes praise Souto for reversing this, however, criticize commissioners for blindly following him without asking questions, and also that a rule is so simply waived without any justification, when what is being waived is the PUBLIC'S VOICE! Also put on record the NUMBER of occasions Souto could have notified residents of this... his newsletters, town hall etc.... public notice for one meeting is not enough, commissioners should be open and transparent with their decisions affecting resident quality of life. If Souto thought the incorporation was such a good idea, and had tremendous support, why hide it?
