Please rescind the ordinance file number 212743 that bypasses the 20% petition requirement before forming the Westchester Municipal Advisory Committee. The sooner you stop this, the less it will cost the county in consultant fees, an election and a lot of frustration for your constituents. If you really believe in the need for a new city, then please start over and first get signed petitions from 20% of the voters living in the affected area.

I realize you convinced the Board of County Commissioners to reduce the required time between first reading of a proposed ordinance and its public hearing from six weeks to only 22 days, but why on PDF page six of this document package does it falsely attest that the required six weeks had transpired?

Again, please rescind the ordinance.
